Mastars provides CNC machining, 3D printing, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, and metal casting, supported by in-house engineering, assembly, and post-processing. The same team can carry a part from first prototype through to production manufacturing.
How do I request a quote?
Simply submit your CAD files and project requirements through our quotation system. Our engineering team will review your design, provide DFM recommendations when needed, and return a manufacturing quotation based on materials, processes, quantities, and lead times.
How quickly can I receive my quotation?
Most quotations are returned within one business day. Complex assemblies or parts that need a deeper engineering review may take longer, and we will tell you the expected timing when we acknowledge your request.
Can Mastars support both prototyping and production?
Yes. There is no minimum order quantity, so you can order a single prototype for functional testing and scale the same part into low-volume or full production without changing suppliers.
What file formats do you accept?
We work from 3D CAD files in the common neutral formats, and we also accept 2D drawings for dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T callouts. If your file will not upload, send it with your enquiry and our engineers will advise.
Do you provide DFM reviews before production?
Yes. Every order receives a design-for-manufacturability review. We identify manufacturability risks early to reduce redesign cycles, save costs, and improve part performance before production begins.
Can you sign an NDA before discussing my project?
Yes. We can sign your NDA before you share any design data, or provide our own if you prefer. Customer drawings, models, and project details are treated as confidential throughout.
What quality certifications does Mastars have?
Our management systems are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949, supporting consistent quality across industrial, medical, and automotive projects.
How are parts inspected before shipment?
Parts are inspected against your drawing before they ship, including CMM inspection for critical features and material certification where required. Inspection reports can be supplied with the shipment on request.
What CNC machining services does Mastars offer?
We provide CNC milling, CNC turning, multi-axis machining, prototype machining, and production machining services for both metal and plastic components.
Which materials can you machine?
We machine a wide range of engineering metals and plastics, including aluminum, stainless steel, steel, brass, copper, titanium, zinc, and ABS. Material selection is usually driven by strength, weight, corrosion resistance, thermal performance, and cost.
Do you offer multi-axis machining?
Yes. Alongside 3-axis milling and turning we run multi-axis machining for complex, multi-sided geometries, which reduces the number of setups and improves accuracy on parts that would otherwise need repeated re-fixturing.
Do you build the mold as well as mold the parts?
Yes. Plastic tooling is built in-house and used for prototype tooling, bridge production, and full production programs, so tool design, molding, and any downstream assembly stay with one team.
What molding processes do you support?
We support plastic injection molding, silicone rubber molding, insert molding, over molding, and family or multi-cavity molding, depending on part design and volume.
What industries do you build molds for?
We build tooling for medical, electric, automotive, packaging, personal care, home appliance, and other special applications.
Which 3D printing technologies do you offer?
We offer SLA, SLS, SLM, MJF, PolyJet, FDM, and metal 3D printing, so the process can be matched to the accuracy, surface finish, and material properties your part needs.
When should I choose 3D printing over CNC machining?
3D printing suits geometries that are difficult or costly to machine, early design iterations, and small quantities where no tooling is justified. CNC machining is usually preferred where tight tolerances or specific material properties are required.
Can 3D printed parts be used for production?
Yes. Beyond prototyping we run 3D printing for production parts, with quality management applied to the same standard as our other processes.
What sheet metal processes do you provide?
We provide forming, bending, punching, welding, laser cutting, and waterjet cutting, covering prototype panels through to production enclosures.
Can you fabricate and finish enclosures?
Yes. Fabricated parts can go straight into our finishing options, such as powder coating, anodizing, brushing, or plating, so the enclosure arrives ready to use.
Do you support low-volume sheet metal runs?
Yes. There is no minimum order quantity, and sheet metal prototyping, production, and quality management are handled by the same team.
How fast can I get a prototype?
Lead time depends on process, material, and part complexity. Quick-turn machined prototypes for functional testing and design validation are our most common prototyping request, and we confirm the timing with your quotation.
Is there a minimum order for prototypes?
No. There is no minimum order quantity, so you can order one part or thousands without volume commitments or tooling investments.
Can prototypes be made in the production material?
In most cases yes. Building prototypes in the intended production material makes functional testing and engineering reviews more representative of the final part.
How do you move a design from prototype to production?
Once a design is approved, manufacturing scales from prototype tooling through to full-scale runs using the same engineering and quality data, which avoids re-qualifying a new supplier mid-project.
Can you support bridge and low-volume production?
Yes. Low-volume production, bridge production, end-use parts, and ongoing manufacturing programs are all supported.
How is capacity handled for larger programs?
Flexible manufacturing capacity across more than five production bases supports both urgent prototypes and scalable production without single-site bottlenecks.
