In the process of nucleic acid testing, deep-well plates are one of the main consumables commonly used. This consumable was previously mostly used for DNA testing, high-throughput reactions, storage and transfer of samples, antibody titer assays, etc. Its main functions include.

01 Sample storage
It can replace the conventional 1.5ML centrifuge tubes for storing samples, and it is also called storage plate because it is neatly arranged, space-saving and has a large storage capacity, and can withstand -80℃ refrigerator.

02 Sample handling
It can be used in combination with a row gun, high-throughput automatic liquid manipulation instruments and software to achieve high-throughput operations on biological samples, such as: precipitation of proteins, liquid extraction, nucleic acid extraction, etc., greatly improving the efficiency of sample processing.

03 Injection operation
Compared with traditional sample feeding, it not only can multiply the number of samples placed in the sample compartment, but also realize the sample feeding directly after processing on the 96-well plate, which eliminates the tedious work of drawing samples back and forth, placing samples, and covering the lid.

At present, deep-well plates can be classified into 96-well and 384-well according to the number of wells, mainly using medical-grade polypropylene PP injection molding, and sealed with self-adhesive seal, silicone seal, heat seal film seal as sealing materials. The plates are arranged according to 12×8 and produced according to SBS standard, which are stackable and easy to store.
