Silica gel products are indispensable items in our life. I believe many people have used silica gel products. Silica gel is popular because of its excellent performance. In many cases, people need to use silica gel products. Today's Xiaobian will introduce the forming method of silica gel products. Do you know how silica gel products are formed?

Silicone molding

1. Extrusion process

Just as we squeeze toothpaste, the extruder head is also the cross-sectional shape of the product, with a certain length. Under the action of force and temperature, the product from the extruder head has been vulcanized and formed. The products formed by this process are generally strip products, and the product section can be various. For example, rectangular strip, annular silicon tube, etc.

2. Glue dropping process

The raw material of silica gel is liquid. The raw material is installed in the needle cylinder. The raw material is dropped onto the mold by pneumatic and manual operation, and then heated and vulcanized. This process belongs to manual process, and there are many places that need manual work. So the production capacity is not high. It has a feature that a product can be dripped with a variety of colors as required. Therefore, this process is mostly for making handicrafts. For example, multi-color silicone bracelets, silicone mobile phone cases with various colors and patterns, etc.

3. Solid hot pressing process

This process uses the temperature and pressure of the oil press and molds to vulcanize the product. This process is relatively low cost, high output and widely used. It is mostly used for monochrome silica gel products. It can also be applied to two-color and two hardness products or multi-color and multi hardness products, but the structure of the product is not flexible and limited. It can also be applied to wrap plastic and wrap metal. It is also inflexible in structure, and has temperature requirements for the wrapped objects. Generally, the wrapped objects are required to be resistant to 180 ° C without deformation.

4. Liquid injection molding process

The equipment required by this process includes silica gel injection machine and pressing machine. Its raw material is water thick, which is divided into two components a and B. Its principle is: use the press to press the raw materials of components a and B into the barrel of the ejector according to 1:1, and then press it into the hot mold cavity through the nozzle. The molding temperature of this process is relatively low, 130 degrees. It can be used for plastic wrap molding that is not resistant to high temperature, which has advantages over solid-state hot pressing molding
