As we know, for the COVID-19 test, Mastars has produced a high precision multi-cavity mold and produced ten million virus test tubes for nucleic acid testing through injection molding process, making a positive contribution to the fight against COVID-19 in China. Now let's take a look at the latest situation in Europe and America.

As the Northern Hemisphere enters the autumn and winter months when respiratory illnesses are more prevalent, warnings have been issued in both the United States and Europe to protect people against the upcoming new spike in outbreaks.

In addition to the confirmed rise, new new crown mutant strains may emerge in the US this winter. Currently, the Omicron subtype variants BA.4.6 and BF.7 are spreading rapidly in the US.

In addition, researchers are tracking another Omicron subtype, BA.2.75.2, which is considered by some studies to have the greatest immune escape capacity of any strain.

In Europe, there has been a rise in the number of new confirmations and hospitalisations. France has entered the eighth wave of the epidemic and authorities are considering reintroducing mandatory masking orders this winter. The UK government is warning of a "double epidemic" of new crowns and influenza this winter.

BA.4.6 and BF.7 spread
CDC statistics show a downward trend in new diagnoses and new deaths in the US since August. As of 6 October, the average daily increase in confirmed cases for seven consecutive days was 41,800 cases and 345 deaths in the U.S. In early August, the daily increase in confirmed cases in the U.S. was above 100,000.
But Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, urged the public to remain vigilant.

Fauci warned that although there has been a recent decline in new diagnoses and deaths in the US, there is still a risk of an increase in the outbreak during the winter. In addition, new variants with greater immune escape may also emerge in the US as more people stay indoors and the virus spreads faster in winter.

Fauci noted that the US also experienced a lull in the outbreak last summer, but then experienced a steep increase in new confirmations with Omicron.

Since the outbreak, the new coronavirus has evolved and a large number of new mutant strains of Omicron have emerged. Currently, the main epidemic in the United States remains the Omicron variant BA.5, but other variants are spreading rapidly.

As the US warns of a worsening winter outbreak, many European countries are experiencing a rise in new confirmations.
The European CDC's weekly report, released on Friday, noted that new confirmed diagnoses in the EU and the European Economic Area (EEA) had risen for three consecutive weeks, and the number of people hospitalised or receiving intensive care for a new crown had risen for two consecutive weeks.

Compared to the previous week, infections among people aged 65 and over increased by 14%, but the death rate fell by 10%. The report warns that available data suggest that the spread of new coronas is increasing in the EU and EEA, with the greatest impact on older people; a rise in new deaths is expected from mid-October onwards.

The spread of transmission is due to increased movement of people during the summer months and there is no indication yet that changes in the prevalent strains are leading to an increase in new confirmed diagnoses. The main strains prevalent in the EU and EEA remain Omicron BA.4 and BA.5, followed by BA.2.75 and BA.2.

The French government confirmed last week that the country has entered the eighth wave of the epidemic at its peak. In the last week, France has averaged more than 45,000 confirmed cases per day for seven consecutive days, the highest since 2 August, and the number of hospitalisations in France for the new crown has risen to more than 15,000, the highest since August.

In response to the new spike, the French Ministry of Health is considering making masks mandatory again this winter in enclosed public places.

The UK has also seen a rise in the number of new confirmations and hospitalisations. Figures released by the Department of Health on Friday showed that 9,631 people had been hospitalised with a new crown in the UK by the 5th, up 37% on the same period the previous week and the highest since August 3rd. New confirmed diagnoses for the week were also 8.3 per cent higher than the previous week.

Steve Russell, NHS Director of Vaccines and Newcastle Testing, warned that the UK could experience a 'double epidemic' of newcastle and flu for the first time this winter.

In response to the double epidemic, the UK is offering free flu vaccinations and encouraging people to get a booster shot for the new strain.
