According to WHO data, 92 confirmed cases and 28 suspected cases of monkeypox have been reported in 12 non-monkeypox-endemic member countries since May 13, with no associated deaths to date. Available information suggests that interpersonal transmission is occurring in people who have had close physical contact with symptomatic cases. WHO predicts that the number of monkeypox cases may increase further globally.

Chinese test kit manufacturer receives orders from abroad
Tan Wenjie, chief scientist at the National Institute of Viral Disease Prevention and Control, said the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has developed an emergency technical program for monkeypox, stockpiled
monkeypox detection reagents, and conducted training for provincial and municipal CDC professionals on monkeypox nucleic acid PCR testing.
On May 23, according to the Global Times, several Chinese test kit manufacturers said they have developed monkeypox nucleic acid test kits, and once approved by the government, they can be quickly put into mass production and marketed in China. Among them, Zhijiang Bio and Daan Gene's monkeypox virus kits have now received CE certification.
On May 23, Daan Gene announced that the "Monkeypox Virus Nucleic Acid Test Kit (Fluorescent PCR Method)" developed by Daan Gene has obtained the CE status, which means that the kit can be sold in EU countries and countries that recognize the CE certification of the EU.
On May 23, UW Genetics said in its official release that it has developed a monkeypox virus nucleic acid detection kit (fluorescent PCR method), which will facilitate rapid detection of monkeypox virus.
It is understood that the current materials and injection molding process and equipment of the new crown virus nucleic acid detection kit can be quickly applied to the production of monkey pox virus detection kits to achieve a highly efficient, energy-saving and automated kit solution.
