This modular frame we build for an European client, combining sheet‑metal panels and polymer inserts provides a compact housing for home AI clusters or research desktops. These racks are common in personal AI setups where you need to fit multiple GPUs, route cables neatly, and shield sensitive electronics.

The housing shows a combination of bent steel plates with punched ventilation slots, circular openings and flanges, together with injection‑moulded inserts containing ribs and bosses. Primary requirements include precise fit and alignment for boards and GPUs, effective thermal management through vents and slots, and durable materials and surfaces that are safe to handle.

Design Controls for Sheet‑Metal AI Racks

We start by laser cutting and bending the steel plates; then we stamp ventilation slots and circular openings. Injection‑moulded inserts with ribs and bosses snap into the frame.

During assembly, fixtures align metal and plastic parts, and gauges and coordinate‑measuring machines verify flatness and hole positions. Every build is documented for traceability.
