Structure and Manufacturing of a Gynecological Device
This disposable gynecological examination device provides operating space for observation or sample collection. It consists of a transparent body, adjustment parts, and a locking mechanism. Its reliability depends on the dimensional accuracy and fit of the molded components.
The transparent body is made of medical-grade PC 2458, while the blue adjustment and locking parts are made of PA6. The PC part requires good clarity and surface quality, while the PA6 parts must maintain stable adjustment and locking. Material drying, shrinkage, warpage, and dimensional variation can affect final assembly and function.
From Material Control to Assembly Verification
PC 2458 and PA6 have different molding requirements. PC 2458 must be properly dried and kept clean to reduce splay, flow marks, stress whitening, and surface damage. PA6 also requires controlled drying, molding, and storage because moisture and shrinkage can change key dimensions. If these factors are not controlled, the parts may become too tight, too loose, or difficult to lock after assembly.
Mastars reviews the part design and mold plan before production, including wall thickness, draft, gates, vents, ejection positions, and mating features. During molding, the team controls material preparation, process parameters, appearance, and key dimensions. Movement, positioning, and locking are then checked at the assembly verification stage. Mastars is certified to GB/T 42061-2022 / ISO 13485:2016, with a scope covering the production of plastic parts for medical instruments and equipment. This provides the quality-system basis and manufacturing capability required for medical plastic parts.
More Predictable Parts and Assembly Results
More consistent appearance, dimensions, and assembly performance from molding through final inspection.
For customers, these controls are reflected in several practical delivery areas:
Lower risk of visible defects on PC 2458 transparent parts.
More stable dimensions for PA6 adjustment and locking parts.
Better control of fit, movement, positioning, and locking.
Traceable production and inspection under an ISO 13485-certified quality system.
Extending the Same Controls Across Applications
The same manufacturing concerns appear in many medical plastic products, especially when a transparent part must also support movement, adjustment, or locking. In these cases, material condition, dimensions, appearance, and assembly function need to be reviewed together rather than checked separately.
Similar requirements are also found in these product categories:
Medical examination devices — transparent positioning and adjustment parts
In-vitro diagnostic equipment — sample-handling housings and latches
Laboratory instruments — clear covers with moving components
Drug-delivery devices — transparent bodies with locking features
When a project combines medical-grade transparent plastic with PA6 or another engineering plastic, the material grades, mating dimensions, appearance limits, assembly steps, and functional checks should be defined before repeat production.
