Multi-Process, Small-Batch Manufacturing Without Vendor Handoffs
Is a premium small-batch build with many processes hard to source as one package? When machining, cosmetic finishing, labeling, and inspection sit in one deliverable, splitting work across suppliers often increases rework, slows feedback, and weakens accountability.
This program supports Bioness in the United States for a rehab balance platform used in the BITS system. Patients stand on a platform with a dome base and follow on-screen targets for balance training and quantitative assessment. The requirement is not only function, but also stable surface quality and repeatable delivery in small to medium volumes.

A Single Process Owner From Start to Final Check
True one-stop work needs in-house capability across the full chain. That is how you keep the same standards through machining, surface prep, anodizing, labeling, and inspection, without repeated handoffs.
For this project, Mastars delivered an end-to-end aluminum alloy workflow. We started with CNC machining, then manual pre-finishing, sanding, and controlled cleaning. Cosmetic texture was built by glass bead blasting. The surface was then anodized in a disciplined sequence including fixture hanging, de-sanding, chemical brightening, multiple rinses, anodizing, dyeing to a gunmetal tone, sealing, and oven drying. After finishing, we added die-cut adhesive labels and completed final inspection before release. This closes the loop from metal cutting to cosmetic finish to verification under one responsible team.

Outcomes the Client Could Rely On
Summary: stable quality, accurate workmanship, predictable lead time, fast response, and one responsible owner.
✅ More consistent surface appearance across batches
✅ Less risk from supplier switching and fewer alignment issues
✅ Clearer quality ownership from machining to anodizing to inspection
✅ Faster feedback cycles when adjustments are needed
✅ Smoother delivery planning for small and medium volumes

Chamfered bores and bead-blasted texture for stable fit, consistent surface feel.
Where This One-Stop Pattern Also Works
If you are in another industry, this workflow is useful when parts need both machining accuracy and a controlled cosmetic finish.
- Robotics base plates and frames
- Medical device panels and structural brackets
- Consumer electronics housings and metal frames
- Fitness equipment interfaces and sensor platforms
- Industrial instrument covers and mounting plates
